Compelson Official Statement to the Myanmar Cause

For more than 30 years, Compelson has been developing and delivering advanced digital forensic tools to law enforcement and government agencies across the globe. Our mission is to fight crime and strengthen security worldwide, proudly representing the innovation and integrity of Czech technology.

The strength of Compelson’s solutions is reflected in the fact that we are the only Czech company placed on the official list of “undesired companies” by the Russian Prosecutor’s Office. From the very beginning of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, we immediately disabled all software licenses in Russia and, at the same time, offered free licenses to the Ukrainian army. As a company in regular contact with law enforcement and security services around the world, we were warned after being placed on Russia's list of enemies in January 2025 that we could expect hybrid warfare in the form of cyberattacks or disinformation campaigns. This warning was confirmed shortly thereafter.

In April 2025, Compelson became the target of a Russian smear campaign aimed at discrediting our company. Previous deliveries of our products to Myanmar were misused as a pretext to damage our reputation.

These allegations were thoroughly investigated. Independent legal opinions — including one from Havel & Partners, the most renowned law firm in Central Europe, and another commissioned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic — have conclusively confirmed:


Compelson has not violated any law. Deliveries of MOBILedit Forensic PRO to Myanmar were carried out in full compliance with Czech, EU, and international regulations.


Compelson maintains close cooperation with the Government of the Czech Republic, in particular with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
